How To Make: Rick Simpson Oil (RSO)

This is a step-by-step guide to making your own RSO. A few things to keep in mind when making RSO. RSO works best with a variety of cannabinoids. The best way to get this array of cannabinoids is by using as many different strains as possible. We recommend using ‘ tray weed ‘ or the weed that lands on your rolling tray when you roll a joint/blunt. Mixing all this tray weed together is the best way to make RSO.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE OUTSIDE WITH GOOD AIR MOVEMENT WHEN MAKING RSO.
THIS PROCESS IS VERY FLAMMABLE.

Items you need:
2 Large mixing bowls
Ricer Cooker
Fan
99.99% ISO Alcohol
Strainer
Cheese Cloth
Cannabis (Tray Weed)
Water
Gloves
Timer
Parchment Paper
Freezer

  1. Add cannabis to mixing bowl
  2. Add half of the ISO needed to mixing bowl.
  3. Work cannabis in ISO for 5 minutes.
  4. Strain infused ISO into empty mixing bowl
  5. Add the remaining unused ISO to the same cannabis material.
  6. Work cannabis in ISO for 5 minutes.
  7. Strain infused ISO into same container as the other infused ISO
  8. Place fan in a position so it can blow over the top of the open rice cooker. This removes the ISO fumes from the area.
  9. Fill rice cooker 3/4 of the way with infused ISO
  10. Put rice cooker on high
  11. As infused ISO levels dropped add more infused ISO to rice cooker.
  12. When infused ISO levels drop to about 2 inches in rice cooker add 10-12 drops of water.
  13. When ISO levels get very low make sure to stir the product so it does not burn
  14. When all liquid is evaporated from the rice cooker remove the RSO and place it on a piece of parchment paper
  15. Place RSO in freezer.
  16. After 24 hours remove RSO from freezer.
  17. Leave it out and exposed to room temperature environment for 48 hours.
  18. Smell RSO for any remaining alcohol. If there is no alcohol smell your RSO is ready. If you smell alcohol then your RSO needs to sit for another 24 hours exposed in room temperature.
